> Lesson management is available in one place
> Access from mobile phone, tablet or computer
> Efficient scheduling of replacement lessons
> Various options for replacement lessons based on students’ needs and interests
> The aim of in-company language training is to develop employees’ language skills to meet their employer’s needs. D∙R∙E∙A∙M maximises the potential of in-company language training.
> D∙R∙E∙A∙M supports regularity of language learning and enables smooth scheduling of replacement lessons.
> If a replacement lesson with the students’ regular teacher is not possible, D∙R∙E∙A∙M takes over with a replacement through the Language Catalogue.
> In the Language Catalogue, students choose a replacement lesson according to their work needs or interests (these might be real-life situations such as phone calls, or replacement lessons focused on work skills, e.g. Emails in English, Presentations: Intros, Dealing with Phone Calls etc.)
> Replacement lessons, both with the students’ regular teacher and via the Language Catalogue need to take place 30 days after the date of the cancelled lesson at the latest, which maintains the regularity of language training and increases the value of the money invested into it.
> The students are able to find all the information about their language courses in one place- they can schedule replacement lessons or pick replacement lessons from the Language Catalogue.
> In the Language Catalogue, students can choose a replacement lesson based on their own work needs or interests, making D∙R∙E∙A∙M fully student-centred and allowing students to develop their language skills in both personal and business areas- which makes it efficient for the students’ employer
> Interesting topics of replacement lessons in the Language Catalogue and different teachers can bolster regular language training
> A varied selection of topics and dates strengthens the continuity of students’ language training
a) Students cancel a lesson → their teacher then offers replacement dates
b) Teacher cancels a lesson → they offer replacement dates immediately
> If a replacement with the regular teacher is not possible, students choose a different replacement in the Language Catalogue
> Each replacement lesson needs to take place within 30 days after the in-advanced cancelled lesson
Not at all! The system is designed for smooth and easy operation.
> It follows current trends regarding organisation
> Marking absence in the lesson in advance within 2 clicks, from wherever and whenever
> The offer of replacement lessons and the option to choose according to their own preferences actually boosts students’ motivation
> Students sometimes don’t want to take over the responsibility for their language learning
> The system requires an active and engaged approach to language learning
> Students might not be willing (or feel ready) to step outside their comfort zone and use new opportunities to improve their language skills
It has become part of modern life that each regular activity has its own organisational system and the option of managing things online. Letting your teacher know that you won’t be able to make it to the next lesson via phone calls or text messages sent to either them or the language school’s contact person is far from efficient. When using the application however, it is possible to inform relevant people with just 2 clicks. In the same way, other tasks can be accomplished as well, such as voting for the best replacement date or choosing a lesson from the Language Catalogue.
The web application is easily accessible through smartphone, tablet or laptop which is one of its big advantages. The only thing students need is an internet connection.
An active approach from the student is crucial for utilising D∙R∙E∙A∙M to its fullest. Students are responsible for the management of their language learning through the new web application, e.g. entering information about not being able to attend a lesson into the system on time.
The same goes for choosing a replacement. As soon as a lesson gets cancelled on time and it’s not possible to replace it with the regular teacher, students will receive a notification with an offer of lessons in the Language Catalogue.
Replacement lessons need to take place within 30 days after the cancelled lesson. Students should enter the Language Catalogue as early as possible since this will ensure a greater number of available lessons.
The offer of courses is designed to give the students the opportunity to choose based on their time availability (various days and times, Mon-Fri, 7:30-19:00) and content preferences (skill-based lessons such as Emails in English, theme-based lessons such as Traveling- English Survival Guide).
Choosing a replacement lesson on time, changing the topic / date / time of the replacement lesson if the original choice is no longer suitable and attending the replacement lesson, all of these tasks are also part of the student’s responsibility.
> Course Manager – takes care of the organisation of each course
> sen@jcl.cz / sen@eduagroup.cz – email addresses taken care of by people who will help you with any issues you encounter when using the system
> JCL for Students – web page for students containing all the relevant information including detailed descriptions and step-by-step manuals on the project D∙R∙E∙A∙M
